went to the gym today!

O. asked if I wanted to go to the gym, and I said 'sure why not?' I suspect I will regret this tomorrow or the next day.



we warmed up (12 minutes on the bike, probably 4 minutes of warm up, to a heart rate of 170 for 8 or so, then O was done, so I decided to finish. I think I would have liked to stay at 170 for a solid 15 minutes)

weights were 4 sets of 10 reps for all of the following:

20lb curls (felt dumb, but I'm just back to it), did 25's for the last set.

30lb flat dumbell press, did 35s for the last 2 sets

20lb overhead dumbell press (military press) probably could have upped that.

30lb bent over rows (also felt dumb) did 35s for the last 2 sets.



we'll see how the shoulders are later. I learned that the gym is open later than I thought (till 10) and earlier too (at 5am) and I felt a lot more comfortable there than I thought I would, particularly considering I had a tiny russian girl in a very low cut tank top with me. (no one said a word, though I suspect she was a bit of a distraction to some of the guys (she was the only girl in the room))
